| Production method | It is obtained by the reaction of succinic acid and phosphorus pentachloride. Add succinic acid, phosphorus pentachloride and anhydrous chloroform to the reaction pot in turn. When the intense reaction slows down, heat to reflux. When the reactants are all turned into liquid, evaporate the low boiling substance to recover chloroform, and then distill under reduced pressure to recover phosphorus oxychloride. The residual liquid is further heated, and the distillation is continued under reduced pressure to collect the fraction of 95-110 ℃(2.67kPa), which is succinyl chloride. The yield is about 88%. |
